HVAC repair and diagnostics
Water where it should not be, a noise nobody can place, weak airflow, or a fault two other companies have already looked at.
The calls that do not fit a category
- Water appearing near the furnace or the air handler A condensate drain, a pan, a humidifier, or a coil freezing overnight and melting by morning Book a visit
- One room never matches the thermostat Airflow rather than equipment: a crushed duct, an undersized return, or a damper somebody closed years ago Book a visit
- The thermostat has stopped controlling the system Wiring, a missing common wire after a smart thermostat went in, or a control board rather than the thermostat itself Book a visit
- A smell when the system starts Worth taking seriously. Dust burning off is ordinary in October; anything sharp, electrical or sulfurous is not Book a visit
Problems somebody else could not find
A fault that has survived two visits is usually not the part everybody keeps replacing. It is an intermittent, a control problem, or something in the airflow that does not show up while a technician is standing in front of the unit with it running.
Those take longer, and the way through them is measurement: temperature split, static pressure, amp draw, and the voltage actually arriving at the board. You get the numbers, whatever we end up finding.
Thermostat repair and smart thermostat installs
Most thermostat calls are not about the thermostat. A smart thermostat needs a common wire, and a system that never had one will behave strangely rather than fail outright: short cycling, a screen that resets, a heat pump that will not change over.
We will tell you whether the thermostat is the problem or the messenger, and wire it properly for the equipment it is actually controlling.
What customers wrote
Alex quickly identified and took care of an ongoing HVAC issue that others could not figure out. Issue related to leaking water.
Great company, arrived on time, did everything perfectly, replaced my air conditioner with a heat pump and installed a new thermostat, now I am very happy

Diagnostic questions
Two companies have looked at it already. Is there any point?
Often yes, because the third visit starts from what the first two ruled out. Tell us what they changed and what happened afterwards; it is the most useful thing you can give us.
The fault only happens sometimes. How can you find it?
By measuring the conditions that bring it on rather than waiting for it. Static pressure, temperature rise and voltage under load will usually show an intermittent before it happens again.
Can you look at the ductwork as well as the equipment?
Yes, and for comfort complaints that is usually where the answer is.
Do you work on equipment somebody else installed?
Nearly all of it was installed by somebody else.
Describe the problem
The more detail the better, including what has been tried already.
